As part of our mission to educate children about the relevance of agriculture in their lives, we are pleased to offer The Food Plate Fun Pass.
Lowe Family Farmstead's Food Plate Fun Pass Program is modeled after rewards-oriented assignments such as Roaring Readers (Roaring Springs Waterpark) and Book It (Pizza Hut).
Students complete a week-long assignment to track the food they eat and how it fits into “My Idaho Plate” dietary guide. Students will also note which of those foods are (or could have been) produced on Idaho farms. As a reward, students will receive a completely free pass to The Farmstead. Teachers who lead their classes will also receive Farmstead admissions to enjoy. This is a teacher-led activity so encourage your teacher to get with the program and earn some passes to The Farmstead!
Completed Food Plate Fun Pass worksheets must be postmarked by September 30. This program must be done in a classroom setting* and must be administered by your classroom teacher.
*Homeschool co-ops are welcome to participate; individual homeschools do not qualify for program participation.
